For you, a thousand times over
My usual reads are suspense thrillers, but this time I wanted to try something different. And boy, am I glad I did. What makes The Kite Runner so heartbreakingly beautiful is the fact that Amir-the protagonist is shown as a flawed, weak person who just doesn’t seem to do the right thing. And that’s what makes him so human. You can't help but relate to Amir in some ways. It is a heartbreaking story about childhood, friendship, family, and love, but more importantly, it's about redemption. Redemption from all the things we did not do. Cause god knows the things we did not do always haunt us more than the things we did. The Kite Runner is by far one of the best books I have read in a long time and I would recommend you pick it up if you haven’t already.
